Below is a response from Russell Takata of the Hawaii State Dept. of Health about a radiation monitoring training class set for Sat. July 28th in Hilo at the State Environmental Management Office 1582 Kamehameha Ave. near Ken's House of Pancakes. There is room for about 30 people. It's free so anyone interested please let me know. It's the same class fireman and police get at the Nevada Test site and will help our citizen radiation posse.
Sending again.

Jim,
We'll be glad to provide radiological/nuclear awareness training in Hilo. I will see if I can reserve the Environmental Health Office classroom on Saturday, July 28, 2007. The class will begin at 8:00 am and end around 1:00 pm. As I mentioned earlier, we will compress the class and add hands-on. We will bring various instruments for the class. We will be available after class for hands-on, additional information, etc. An outline of the course is attached.
