Today in the mail, I got a copy of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Permanent Home Stationing of the 2/25th Stryker Brigade Combat Team.  I think this is supposed to be the supplemental EIS that was ordered by the 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals when it ruled that the Army violated the National Environmental Policy Act. 

 

The deadline for comments on the Draft EIS is September 4, 2007. Comments may be submitted to Public Affairs Office, US Army Environmental Command, Building E4460, 5179 Hoadley Road, Attention: IMAE-PA, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21010-5401. Tel: 410-436-2556; Fax: 410-436-1693, Email: publiccomments@aec.apgea.army.mil

 

The documents say that the draft report is available online at www.sbct-seis.org, but when I checked, there was no report to download.

 

The Army contact in Hawai'i is Bill Rogers, 808-655-5609. 

 

Call to request your copy and be sure to comment.  And we need to start mobilizing folks for the hearings that will soon be announced.
