Challenging Corporate Power,
Asserting the People's Rights
Are you concerned about...
...corporate influence on our government?
...corporate destruction of our environment?
...corporate exploitation of workers?
...the explosion of corporate mega-mergers?
...CORPORATE CRIME?
Join Our Study Group!
On Thursday June 21, 2007 the first session of "Challenging Corporate Power" Study Group will commence at 7:00pm at Ka Huina Huina Gallery, at the corner of Mamo St. and Kilauea Ave. in Hilo.
This study group will be a small, participatory gathering to learn about the roots of corporate power, the resulting loss of our rights and what we can about it.
Based on Women's International league for Peace and Freedom study group found at:
http://wilpf.org/CPOWER_10sessions
Except for the first session, which is the introduction to how the study group might be
structured, WILPF provides a great collection of compelling articles detailing the history and
legal status of corporations.
Please, print a copy of the first session documents to bring with you for the meeting and, if you
can, print a copy or two to share with those who don't have access to a computer or printer.
Mahalo.
If you have any questions reply to <dfw_jr@yahoo.com> and I will do my best to answer them.
