Volunteer Malu 'Aina Farm Day and vision meeting Sat. Feb. 7th

There will be a Malu 'Aina volunteer farm day on Sat. Feb. 7, 2009 from 9-llAM, followed by a walk through of the adjacent land we may be acquiring.  There will be a pot luck at noon followed by a l hour vision meeting l-2PM on possibilities of how Malu 'Aina currently, and with the possibility of the adjacent land, can help meet the growing economic crisis with more and more people in need of food.  E komo mai.  Please come for any and all part of the day.  Whatever you can contribute, either in helping on the farm or with ideas will be greatly appreciated.  Bring a friend too. PS: On Monday, Feb. 9th from 7-9PM there will be a peace organizing meeting at the Kea'au Community Center.  Among items for discussion will be evaluating the recent gathering at Pohakuloa and the county council meeting on DU, press coverage of those events, upcoming Army PR moves at Pohakuloa, the ongoing war in Iraq and Afghanistan, etc.  Again, please come and bring a friend.  Your input is needed.  (Peace organizing meetings are help on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 7-9PM at the Keaau Community Center.  Mark your calendar.  Next meetings with be Feb. 23rd, March 9th and 23rd.)
