CODEPINK Peace Activists Present

Our Journey for Peace with Iran

Peace activists Leslie Angeline and Jes Richardson traveled to Iran last year as part of a Global Exchange 'Citizen Diplomacy Delegation'.  This experience motivated them to quit their jobs and travel to Washington DC to lobby Congress full-time for Peace with Iran.

After their trip to
Iran, Leslie went on a hunger strike to pressure Senator Lieberman to talk with her about his call for the use of military force against Iran.  Leslie is an active member of CODEPINK - Women for Peace and has participated in many significant actions.

Jes and Leslie fell in love with the Iranian people and found them to be warm, sophisticated and incredibly generous.  They also learned that seventy percent of the population is under the age of 30.  They filmed their journey in Iran and have a great collection of footage and photographs.  Our Journey for Peace with Iran presentation will include these wonderful images and stories of the couple's CODEPINK activism in Washington DC and around the country.

Come meet and be inspired by these dedicated peace activists!
