| A 10-Step Plan for Antiwar Activists Move beyond blaming Bush. The fact of U.S. empire is bigger than Bush… It is about corporate domination. Bush is just the front man for the big money.  …that is step #1. Step #2 is to openly acknowledge that as a nation, and we as citizens, benefit from this U.S. military and economic empire… Step #3 is to recognize that we are addicted to war and to violence. Step # 4 We have to begin to change how we think about our country. We have to learn to understand what oligarchy means. - A government in which power is in the hands of a few.
Step #5 Forget the "every man for himself" mythology.
Step # 6 What about my job? Another smothering myth in America is success. Keep your nose clean and don't rock the boat… Step #7 Learn to work well with others. Step # 8 It's the money… our addiction to the rat race keeps us from being fully engaged in the most important issue of our time - which is protecting the future generations. Step # 9 Learn to read again. Many of us don't read enough. We spend our time in front of the TV… Step #10 Learn to trust again and have fun.
